Picasso’s life and art have been a source of inspiration for me, especially his blue period, when he used his creativity to cope with his sadness and find joy. I resonate with his famous quote, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life,” and use my recreational ceramic practice as a form of self-care and self-expression.

I have experimented with Picasso’s style in various mediums, such as lino prints and oil paintings, and now I am making a series of ceramic vases and plates that reflect my feelings, thoughts, and life stories. As Picasso said, art is just another way of keeping a diary – a way of healing and nurturing the self.
